Technical boys are not boring

The impression when someone first met Dang Van Thang, a second year student in Automotive Technology – College of Science and Technology, is his friendliness, maturity, and smile. This guy has a beautiful voice and a very artistic performance style. Although he has never won a music award, Thang always stands out and shines at any stage, big or small. In particular, Thang owns a YouTube channel with 01 million subscribers.

Luckily grew up in a family with a tradition in the field of art, Thang’s passion for music has been nurtured since his childhood. At the age of ten, Thang was first able to sing on stage and received warm cheers from everyone. The happy moment of that first time has followed Thang until now, so that every time he holds the mic, Thang wants to hit the note in every song he’s shining. The desire to express himself, to stand on the stage and raise his voice is always burning inside Thang.

Thang is currently the leader of BalladR Band, a pretty famous band among students in Hanoi. Following a strong, masculine hip-hop style, the strength of the band members is that they are all capable of composition and arrangement, singing and playing most common instruments. Recently, under the leadership of Thang, the BalladR Band has owned a certain number of fans and made an impression in all the shows they participated in.

Sharing on a sunny spring afternoon, when asked if he wanted to be a singer in the future and if technical boys are dry, Thang smiled kindly and shared: “I haven’t thought that far. Currently, I focus on studying well, besides, I want to burn with passion for singing. I want to show everyone that technical boys are not dry as well as students of the Faculty of Automotive Technology – College of Science and Technology are very talented.”

This time, besides nurturing his passion for singing, Thang is busy preparing for his industrial attachment. Despite hardship and difficulties, Thang is always full of energy. Thang is the representative portrait of young people in the 21st century who are always passionate, confident, dynamic and never stop becoming the better version of themselves.

“Disclosure to you, in the near future, BalladR Band will ask for permission to establish a music club under the College of Science and Technology. With the new wind from the talents of term 12th, the music club will have the opportunity to thrive and will be warmly welcomed among students”, shared Dang Van Thang.
