Office of Academic Affairs

FUNCTION

The Office of Academic Affairs is a functional unit of the College of Science and Technology Polytechnic College undertakes the following responsibilities: providing counsel and assisting the Rector in the construction and management of training programs, as well as  managing training program development and implementation  at all levels.

MISSION

The Department of Training Management performs the following tasks

  • Recruitment activities: Encompassing enrollment promotion; organizing recruitment exams, admissions, and post-test procedures.
  • programs and learning material development : Developing and involving the formulation of comprehensive training plans, output standards and implementing quality assurance criteria; Updating and refining  training programs, compiling curricula, lectures, electronic lectures, and course website; Compiling and updating course outlines and question banks.
  • Teaching implementation: Designing yearly and course-based study schedules; managing teaching assignments, timetables, and registration processes; coordinating practical student engagements; tracking and reporting on teaching and learning progress; providing academic advisory support.
  • Examination and evaluation Organization: scheduling  exams, appointing examiners, generating exam questions from the question bank; administering exams and course completion; implementing student feedback surveys for modules; conducting output standard assessments..
  • Graduation procedures assigning staff to guide projects, theses and dissertations; organizing graduation defenses, evaluations and degree conferrals; managing  diploma and graduation certificate administration.
  • Academic responsibilities: assessing academic results, conducting academic reviews and advising students.
  • Student Engagement: periodically liaising with first- and fourth-year classes and course staff; addressing student concerns related to training.
  • Supervision of High-Quality Programs: Ensuring the management of programs of excellence.
  • Management of Collaborative Training Initiatives: Overseeing affiliated training programs, short-term training, and other educational endeavors.
