Students support tourists during the North Korea – United States Hanoi Summit

February 26th to 28th 2019, the Youth Union and Student Association of Hanoi organized the “Thang Long – Hanoi tourism support group”, with the participation of 125 student volunteers from different universities and academies to support international tourists and reporters to visit and work in the capital during the second North Korea – United States Summit.

In order to better serve domestic and foreign tourists, volunteers are regularly stationed at the area around Hoan Kiem Lake, such as Hoa Phong Tower, Hanoi Post Office, King Ly Thai To Monument, temple of the Jade Mountain, Dong Kinh – Nghia Thuc square and the temple of King Le Thai To, etc., from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.

Right in the afternoon of February 26th, the volunteers introduced hundreds of tourists about the cultural and historical values ​​of the tourist attraction sites; they guided and welcomed tourists from all over the world to visit. In addition, the volunteers also actively participated in keeping the environment clean with activities such as picking up trash around the area they are in charge of, and cleaning the landscape of the sites, so that Hanoi is always beautiful in the eyes of tourists.
