TRAINING OBJECTIVES
– Training people working in the tourism industry with political qualities and professional ethics and good health; Having the skills to work in travel businesses and continue learning to improve qualifications or develop a career in the future.
– Graduates have the ability to work in tourism businesses, state-owned, private and joint-venture tourism businesses. Eligible learners can continue to study additional College and University pathway programs.

CONTENT OF COURSES
*Fundamental knowledge of the industry
Tourism Overview
The course provides learners with fundamental knowledge of: the history of the world tourism industry, Vietnam’s tourism industry, the tourism business career of Mr. Thomas Cook , trends in modern tourism activities, fundamental concepts and characteristics of tourism products, how to classify types of tourism… The course also equips learners with knowledge fundamentally related to tourism business administration and regulations on state management of tourism.
Tourist psychology
Provide learners with knowledge to evaluate, recognize, control and adjust human behavior in tourism activities; find out the laws of human activities that govern tourism in order to improve productivity and efficiency in tourism.
Communication skills
The course introduces essential skills in communication, effective communication, customer-focused techniques, and meeting customer expectations. The course also provides knowledge about using the phone and dealing with customer complaints.
Geographic tourism
The course provides a system of knowledge about research subjects, tourism development resources, assessment of tourism resources, territorial organization of tourism industries. In addition, the subject also helps learners understand the fundamental characteristics of the current economic and social situation, economic and tourism organizations in the world.
Introduction to Vietnamese culture
Equipping knowledge about traditional cultural values, grasping the stages of Vietnamese culture through each period, supplementing Vietnamese cultural knowledge to serve the tourism industry and helping learners compare Vietnamese culture with others.
Vietnamese History
The course provides fundamental knowledge about Vietnamese history from ancient to modern. Through history lessons, learners will have an overview of the national development process, the feudal dynasties in Vietnam, the achievements of culture – science and technology in Vietnam, the proud heroic history pages about the struggle to protect and build the country.
Tourism accounting
Provide fundamental knowledge of general accounting principles and their application to the tourism business, concepts and scope of accounting in tourism businesses, recording and reporting techniques, finance and accounting methods.
Tourism marketing
Provide fundamental knowledge of marketing principles and their application to business practice including: Modern marketing definition; Outline the marketing activities of the business such as the marketing environment and the market of the business…
Advanced Informatics
Provide fundamental knowledge of applied informatics in business administration: the applications of Foxpro, Windows, Excel software in business problems and management techniques; processing, sending and receiving information on the local network as well as the internet.

Specialized foreign language
Equip knowledge through lessons on Vietnamese culture, customs, festivals in English… skills to handle situations when communicating with a foreigner, how to answer, dialogue, and serve foreigners having different cultures from Vietnam.
Tourism Routes and Sites
Provide learners with the most important routes on Vietnam’s tourist routes including: Southern routes (Eastern and Southwest provinces and cultures of communities in the Southwest region), central routes (Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Central Highlands, especially “The Heritage Road in the Central Region”), Northern routes (Hanoi, Ha Long Bay…)
Professional tourist guide
The course provides the fundamental skills of a tour guide in preparing, arranging, organizing tours, and taking care of customers participating in a tour. The course also introduces learners to the skills of speaking, managing, presenting, etc. at one point or on tour.
Agency organization and tour operation
The course equips learners with fundamental knowledge about how to design a tourism program, including: calculating the cost of services on the tour, negotiating with service providers, negotiating with customers about the method of arranging and choosing attractions on the tour… The same course equips learners with tour operation skills such as: managing transportation services, assigning personnel to carry out tour programs, surveying close to the point line.
Vietnamese customs and festivals
Equip learners with knowledge about typical customs of the ethnic groups in Vietnam, folk festivals with ethnic colors spread across three regions, major religions that have an influence on the spiritual life of Vietnamese people. Vietnamese…
Immigration procedure
Provide knowledge on how to book tickets, necessary requirements and related documents in immigration procedures.
Business office
Provide knowledge on drafting documents, contracts and related issues in office work.
Tourism teambuilding
The course guides learners to some games and songs in group activities, lively skills, games on the car, on the sea, campfire activities, necessary skills while guiding the tour. adventure (exploring forests, mountains, sea…). In addition, the subject also equips the necessary knowledge for walking at night, signs to identify friends or enemies, coordination in group games such as: game management, fire management, choir management and other things. other fundamentals in order to ensure safety and security for tourists during travel.
Travel medical
Provide knowledge about first aid and solve health related problems in the profession.
Graduation internship
Semester III and IV, learners will choose the unit, travel agency to practice and complete the internship report.
Graduation topic or graduation exam
Eligible learners will be considered for a graduate thesis with an instructor
Learners who are not selected as graduation topics will take the graduation exam.
