The festival took place within two days, November 23rd to 24th in Ho Chi Minh City, with many activities such as exhibition of startup projects; Startup Kite Final; Workshop Connecting resources to support vocational education students to start a business in the 4.0 period”, etc.

At the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said that over the past 20 years, Vietnam has always maintained a high growth rate, but per capita income is still low on average compared to the world.

In the context of fierce competition among countries, in order to escape the middle-income trap, Vietnam needs to maintain a growth rate of more than 7.5% per year for many years to come.

Mr. Vu Duc Dam emphasized that to do so, everyone, especially students, must be insiders instead of just standing outside observing and commenting, etc.

The Deputy Prime Minister reminded students with a desire for entrepreneurship to be a pioneer with aspiration and the ability to explore, learn, accept challenges, etc. The greatest successes come from unique ideas and mindsets.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam advised young people who are starting a business to hold their ground because often there is no success at the first time. Connectivity is also necessary in startups such as connecting with each other, connecting with investors and businesses.

For those of you who do not have a start-up idea, the Deputy Prime Minister reminded us that not all students start with a new business or an innovation project. Each person needs to finish his work first.

Besides cultivating professional knowledge and soft skill, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam also advised young people to actively participate in community activities because it will be easy to come up with startup ideas.
