Responding to the 2023 Youth Union and Youth Movement with the theme “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style” and towards the 133rd birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh, the Youth Union’s Executive Committee of the College of Science and Technology launched a photo contest with the theme “Remembering Uncle Ho’s making our hearts purer” in 2023, with the following specific contents:
Who can apply
Lecturers, staffs, employees and students working and studying at the College of Science and Technology
What to submit
Each Branch will send a set of photos to the contest (03 – 05 photos/1 set, including group and individual photos), with the following content:
- Photos of students wearing clothes resembling the national flag or wearing uniforms next to the Vietnamese national flag.
- Photos of students visiting Uncle Ho’s mausoleum or standing next to Uncle Ho’s photo or statue.
- The photos show the spirit of the Youth Union and the patriotism of Vietnam.
Rules & Regulations
- Entries must be photographed by the authors. The authors are responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of their entries.
- Entries must have a name for each photo (commentation is recommended in accented Vietnamese, up to 100 characters), along with photo description including taken time and place and circumstances of taking pictures (if any).
- Entries submitted for the competition must have the content and form suitable to the topic and regulations of the Contest; does not violate the Copyright law, contest rules and regulations of the law.
- Each contestant can submit multiple entries (no quantity limit).
- Image requirements:
- The entry is a digital image file (.jpg extension), taken with a mobile phone or digital camera with a maximum size of 10MB.
- Entries edited with Photoshop to control exposure or crop, edit image layout are accepted but the image content must be real; Entries that are combined, merged in Photoshop or with untrue content will be rejected.
- Photos and content do not violate Vietnamese fine customs, laws, culture and the College of Science and Technology’s reputation.
- Each contestant is solely responsible for the work’s copyright.
- Entries must clearly state the author’s name, phone number, email, and workplace.
How to submit
– Submission time: from May 8th to 11:59 p.m. of May 15th 2023
– Submit entries to: dtn.ecs@gmail.com, with the subject “Entries for the online photo contest BACH KHOA_AUTHOR’S NAME/UNION BRANCH_PHONE NUMBER”;
– Voting time: from May 16th to 11:59 p.m. of May 19th 2023. The organizing committee will post valid and eligible entries onto the fanpage;
– Time to announce results: The results will be compiled and announced by the organizing committee on May 25th 2023;
Prizes
- 01 First Prize worth 1,000,000 VND;
- 01 Second Prize worth 500,000 VND;
- 01 Third Prize worth 300,000 VND;
- 01 Impression Prize (for entries with impressive and unique images and content evaluated by the Organizing Committee) worth 200,000 VND;

Step 1: Contestants send their works (1 set of photos of individuals or groups related to their high school with 2-5 photos) to the Organizing Committee via email dtn.ecs@gmail.com
Step 2: The organizing committee will select valid and eligible entries to post onto the fanpage https://www.facebook.com/tuyensinhcdbk for the voting;
Step 3: Audiences participates in voting on the fanpage of the College of Science and Technology https://www.facebook.com/tuyensinhcdbk to Like, Share the favorite entries.

* The following cases of audience voting will not be recorded for scoring results:
- Using Facebook accounts (of contestants and others) to spam with the same content (such as icons, dots, etc.) more than 10 times to increase comment points (those who have left the above comments can delete them, the Organizing Committee will automatically recalculate your points);
- Create your own Groups to share (or re-share multiple times in one group) entries to increase share points;
- Use clones to increase like/share/comment in bulk. Features of clones: no friends in common with participants, newly created profiles, no interactions on profiles, profiles only share minigame programs and many other manifestations. The Organizing Committee will decide this case when there are unusual manifestations or reported by others.
