College of Science and Technology official visit Nanyang Institute of Management (Singapore) for collaboration agreement signing

On November 6th 2023, representatives of the College of Science and Technology undertook a official visit to sign a strategic collaboration agreement with the Nanyang Institute of Management in Singapore. This initiative aims to create opportunities for Vietnamese students to immerse themselves in an international learning environment.

The delegation from the College of Science and Technology (CST) included MSc. Nguyen Van Truong – Chairman of the Board, Dr. Nguyen Huyen Trang – Head of the International Cooperation Department (ICD), Mr. Nguyen Van Quy and Ms. Tran Tu Uyen – Specialists at the ICD.

The NIM representatives who welcomed the CST delegation included Mr. Wang Chang Min – Chairman of the Board, Mr. John Zhang – President of the Institute, Mr. Wilson Ang – Vice President of the Institute, Mr. Craig Albrightson – Chairman of the Academic Board, Mr. Raymond Khoo – Dean of School of Tourism & Hospitality, Mr. Johnson Teo – Assistant Dean of School of Business, School of Logistics, and Ms. Anita Nguyen – Regional Admissions Representative.

During the meeting, representatives from both institutions discussed an overview of six (06) collaborative training and academic exchange programs, including:

  • Diploma & Advanced diploma in Management
  • Diploma & Advanced diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management
  • Diploma & Advanced diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management

This collaboration is built upon the shared objectives of both institutions, aiming to provide modern educational programs aligned with industry practices and the requirements of businesses. Students will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for the future work environment through programs designed with a practical and continuously innovative approach. Furthermore, students will have the opportunity to apply their acquired knowledge and accumulate practical experience during industrial attachment periods.

Communal areas of the Institute

Communal areas outside of the classrooms are furnished with comfortable tables and chairs, providing students with spaces to relax, engage in conversations, or seek assistance and guidance from the team of experts at the student service center and career counseling center of the Institute

Based on the shared goals and developmental directions, CST and NIM have officially signed a collaboration agreement. It is anticipated that in the coming period, both institutions will soon engage in mutually beneficial activities, opening up prospects for collaborative training initiatives and the development of high-quality international human resources.

The Nanyang Institute of Management has been awarded the prestigious 4-year EduTrust certification by the Singapore Ministry of Education. The Institute is currently in collaboration with major universities in the United Kingdom, such as the University of the West of Scotland, Abertay University, and York St John University. According to the 2022 statistics, the graduation rate exceeds 96%, with over 85% of students securing employment within six (06) months.
