College of Science and Technology in the mobile job transaction session in Hoa Binh province

On the afternoon of August 22, at Sao Bay High School, the Employment Service Center (the Ministry of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs) coordinated with Kim Boi District People’s Committee to organize a mobile job transaction session.

Participating in the job fair in Kim Boi district this year, more than 30 businesses, organizations and individuals both inside and outside the province registered for job recruitment and apprenticeships. According to statistics of the Employment Service Center, there were about 530 people attending the session, mainly students from Sao Bay High School and Youth Union members from communes and towns in the district. At the job fair, job seekers can meet employers face-to-face and obtain information about the labor market, employment, salary, remuneration and employee benefits offered by the organizations. Information is also provided by vocational training institutions and consulting firms for those who need vocational training advice to choose the right career.

During the session, Dr. Le Van Thang – Vice President of the College of Science and Technology (“the College”) had a discussion about the current career orientation and streaming in education. Besides, Dr. Le Thang also discussed the enrollment targets for specializations, priority regimes, international apprenticeship programs as well as sponsorship programs provided by the College for students.

At this mobile job transaction session, the College of Science and Technology also set up a career counseling desk and enrolled students for a paid international apprenticeship program with specializations such as professional cooking techniques, hotel management, etc. The admissions officers promptly answered questions about career selection and apprenticeship training for many high school students and young laborers during the session.
