Besides prizes with a total value of hundreds of millions VND, candidates with excellent products participating in the “Canon Chie-Tech 2020” also have the opportunity to practice and work at Canon Co., Ltd. Vietnam.
On the afternoon of July 13th in Hanoi, the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU), in collaboration with the Vietnam Student Development and Support Center, Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd proudly launched the automation contest “Canon Chie-Tech 2020”. The central theme of this competition revolves around the invention of equipment designed for the assembly of ballpoint pens.
Speaking at the contest, Mr. Bui Quang Huy, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union and the President of the Vietnam Student Union, stated that the contest is specifically tailored form students who are studying at universities, colleges and academies across North Vietnam. Its primary aim is to improve students’ capabilities in researching, creating, developing and manufacturing automatic products associated with the actual production of the enterprise.
In addition, when participating in the contest, students also have the opportunity to interact with top-notch engineers and, experts in the field of industrial engineering to exchange and learn to improve professional skills.
Contestants are supported with product manufacturing costs. In particular, the candidates with excellent products at the Contest will have the opportunity to practice and work at Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd.
The contest has a final first prize worth 30 million VND; two second prizes worth 20 million VND each; and a third prize worth 10 million VND. All these prizes are accompanied by a certificate from the organizing committee and a Certificate of Merit from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
In addition, during the Contest, the organizing committee will also offer online voting prizes including a 1st prize, a 2nd prize and a 3rd prize worth 3, 2 and 1 million VND respectively.
The contest has many rounds, with the final round being held in the form of a product presentation and operation, which is expected to take place in Hanoi in December.
