1. Training Objectives
1.1. General objectives:
The diploma of Graphic Design provides students with basic knowledge and advanced knowledge in the field of graphic design relevant to real-world applications. Fostering learner’s creativity and providing the ability to apply techniques/technologies to solve problems related to graphic design. Learners will also be able to work independently or collaboratively, to earn from what they have learned. Learners will become ethical people with professional conscience, a sense of discipline, and the ability to self-study or continuously learn to improve their qualifications.
1.2. Specific objectives:

About knowledge:
- Be able to read and comprehend English documents related to the field of study
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of computer networks and the Internet
- Acknowledge services related to information technology such as: maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of common errors of computers and computer networks
- Demonstrate and apply knowledge of modern production systems of graphic products, and knowledge of the production process of a graphic product
- Acknowledge fine art shaping, lines, shapes, blocks, and some related art issues
- Demonstrate basic knowledge in graphic design, industrial graphics
- Acknowledge digital images, computer color gamut, image transformation techniques and workloads with digital images, the image restoration process, post-processing
- Acknowledge the application range of electronic publishing, brand identity and tools to create short, simple copies and how to organize and arrange electronic publications
- Determine the basic knowledge of information technology
- Determine the basic knowledge of graphics and computer graphics
- Fully comprehend the basic knowledge of art and aesthetics
- Determine knowledge of electronic publishing
- Determine the basic knowledge related to web services and design Website interfaces, game characters
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of 2D/3D art and 2D/3D art modeling
- Acknowledge photographic lighting, camera structure, and the use of mechanical and digital cameras
- Determine the basic knowledge and operating principles as well as how to use some digital peripherals
- Be able to analyze and fully handle problems in graphic design-related jobs
- Determine advanced ways of image processing, and focus on image editing skills to meet the requirements of graphic design-related jobs
- Determine how to build multimedia products, and integrate collected data, in accordance with scenarios; Practical data collection skills for video editing and audio editing
- Determine the knowledge and skills to craft specific templates
- Be able to analyze and approach reality; Update knowledge about new devices in the field of graphic design
- Determine the correct shift handover process, log work
- Correct determination of occupational safety standards
About skills:
- Be able to make connections, control computers, peripherals, and computer networks
- Analyze, organize, and properly implement the equipment cleaning process, as well as the skills to use occupational safety equipment, skills to ensure safety in occupational work.
- Be able to assemble, connect and operate computer systems and peripherals
- Install programs to control digital peripherals, operate and maintain digital peripherals
- Install and use graphic design software for 2D/3D rendering, videos/games rendering, image/graphics processing, audio and video processing…
- Communicate, understand and identify customer needs; consult and deliver products according to customer requirements
- Carry out Internet exploitation work, look up Vietnamese or English documents to serve job requirements
- Design products such as, advertisements on billboards, on websites or social networks, on television, book covers, page layouts, presentations, content of books, newspapers, magazines, posters, and displays
- Editing, processing images/video/audio, camera recording, taking photos, processing still or animated images; Designing game/animation graphic object
- Design website interface and apply the knowledge of graphics to design Banner Marketing on the Internet and advertisements on social networks
- Implement multimedia data integration; Collect image, animation, video, and audio data
- Create animated graphics
- Implement multimedia projects
- Create and use graphics, graphics layers; Create a number of specialized publications for internal use or advertising purposes
- Be able to process images according to actual requirements, know how to coordinate synthetic operations to solve actual requirements
- Create publications for different fields, such as creating product labels, creating logo templates, creating business card templates, or advertising
- Perform services related to graphic design, such as fine art, publishing books, creating advertising pictures, and digital video and photography services
- Create drawings related to industrial art
- Apply creativity, technical application, and technology to solve problems related to graphic design.
- Report work, work progress, log work
- Strictly implement industrial hygiene and occupational safety regulation
- Be able to manage groups, supervise small and medium-sized IT systems
* Political, ethics, physical, and national defense education:
– Politics and ethics education:
- Develop a fundamental understanding of Marxism – Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Ideology,; Constitution and Laws of the State
- Develop an understanding of socioeconomic development orientation of the Party
- Develop an understanding of the national traditions, the working class, and their ethics and characteristics
- Be loyal to the cause of national construction and defense and fully fulfill the responsibilities and obligations of citizens: To live and work in accordance with the Constitution and the Law
- Be passionate, have community knowledge and the working style of a citizen living in an industrial society, and have a healthy lifestyle in accordance with the national customs and traditions
