1. Training Objectives:
1.1. General objectives:
Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering technology provides vocational knowledge to perform jobs in the civil and industrial fields such as Repairing electrical and electronic equipment; designing, programming, installing, testing, operating, maintaining, and repairing the system of electrical, electronic, automation equipment, etc, that meet technical requirements and ensure safety, meet the requirements of level 5 in the Vietnamese Qualifications Framework.
The jobs of the profession are mainly performed in production workshops, in factories or in production and business establishments, self-employed business, maintenance and repair centers, so the working environment and conditions must ensure hygiene and health safety. In order to perform the tasks well, it is necessary to ensure essential working conditions such as: proper factory architecture and production line, equipment and tools suitable to the standards of specific job; product monitoring and management technologies; good communication system; and internal regulations on standards in labor and production.
1.2. Specific objectives:
1.2.1. Knowledge:
+ Accurately explain specifications and properties of materials and components commonly used in the field of electricity and electronics;
+ Describe the properties, structures, operating principles and applications of electrical and electronic equipment;
+ Describe the structure, operating principle, application of electrical and electronic systems in industry;
+ Describe methods of using measuring devices and tools in electrical and electronic professions;
+ Demonstrate the process of assembling electrical and electronic equipment;
+ Accurately describe the repair order of electrical and electronic equipment;
+ Describe methods of drawing, designing and manufacturing printed circuit board;
+ Describe methods for programming PLCs, microcontrollers into electrical and electronic systems;
+ Fully list the calculation methods in the design of electrical and electronic systems;
+ Describe the process of operation, maintenance and installation of power supply and distribution systems or civil/industrial electrical systems;
+ Describe plan to consult, supervise and operate projects in the field of electricity and electronics;
+ List personal responsibilities and duties in relation to the members of the team/department;
+ Explain how work is done in the direction of promoting cooperation with team members to achieve the set goals;
+ List the process of handing over the shift, record the work log;
+ Present working safety standards;
+ Present basic knowledge about politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, physical education.
1.2.2. Skill:
+ Proficiently use electrical and electronic hand-held tools;
+ Be able to accurately read technical drawings (assembly diagram drawings, schematic drawings); list out supplies and components needed for electrical circuits;
+ Proficiently assemble electrical and electronic equipment;
+ Proficiently measure, check and repair electrical and electronic equipment;
+ Calculate and design electronic circuits and civil/industrial electrical systems in accordance with specific requirements;
+ Proficient use of electrical and electronic design software;
+ Assemble electronic circuits that ensure technical requirements;
+ Ability of planning, organizing and implementing the installation of power supply and distribution systems, civil/industrial electrical systems and industrial automation systems;
+ Proficiently operate power supply and distribution systems, civil/industrial electrical systems and industrial automation systems;
+ Programming microcontrollers, PLCs for electrical and electronic systems;
+ Proficiently use application software for management and production organizations;
+ Conduct plan to consult, supervise and operate projects in the field of electricity and electronics;
+ Answering questions, thereby making plans to provide requirements and selecting products to meet customers needs;
+ Support team members or departments to achieve the set goals.
+ Able to use basic information technology as prescribed; exploit, process and apply information technology in professional work in the industry;
+ Able to use basic foreign languages meeting level 2/6 in Vietnam’s Foreign Language Competency Framework; to apply foreign languages to professional work in the industry.
1.3. Job position after graduation:
After graduating, learners have the ability to meet the requirements at the job positions of the industry, including:
– Installation of electrical equipment;
– Assembly of electronic equipment;
– Repair of electrical equipment;
– Repair of electronic equipment;
– Construction and operation of the power supply and distribution system;
– Design and assemble electronic circuits;
– Operation, maintenance and repair of automation control systems;
– Design, construction, operation and maintenance of civil and industrial electrical systems;
– Consult, monitor and operate projects in the field of electricity and electronics;
– Trade in electrical and electronic equipment.
