Signing ceremony of cooperation agreement on sending students to Japan for paid internship

Related to professional association activities for the implementation of the Paid Internship Program in Japan for Vietnamese students, on November 15th 2022, the College of Science and Technology and the representatives of Japanese printing companies held a signing ceremony of cooperation agreement to implement the Internship program.

This is an international cooperation program between the College of Science and Technology and Japan Printing Company with the goal of recruiting technical trainees to work and earn a salary at printing companies in Japan. The program duration options include periods of 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months.

In the signed agreement, the College of Science and Technology is responsible for advanced professional-oriented training for students to suit job requirements in Japan. Training and guiding students to comply with Japanese labor law and local customs at the workplace. Supporting students with relevant legal procedures on the Vietnam side during the internship in Japan. After completing the internship, students will return and continue their studies. An assessment of the internship will be acknowledged in the student’s internship.

On the flip side, the Japan Printing Company holds the responsibility of contacting and introducing candidates for internships, as well as establishing communication and overseeing procedural aspects in collaboration with the university. This encompasses aiding in the submission of documents to the Immigration Department, facilitating visa procedures at the embassy, arranging transportation for interns between the airport and their internship placements, and vice versa. Moreover, they extend their support to interns for post-immigration procedures, including temporary residence registration, insurance setup, and bank account initiation, as well as during their stay in Japan through regular bi-monthly check-ins, assistance via a call center, and aid during urgent situations. The company ensures the essential protocols for students’ practical engagement in Japan are fulfilled, managing and providing guidance to students throughout the duration of their internships.

During the internship in Japan, the Japan Printing Company bears the responsibility of providing training. Upon graduation, if students who have successfully completed the internship express the desire, the Japan Printing Company will ensure all necessary conditions are met to facilitate their return to Japan for employment. This includes arranging visits by teachers from the College of Science and Technology (selected by the College) and covering associated expenses for their tours of internship facilities in Japan (as outlined in the attached appendix). Following completion of the first unit of the internship (initial 6 months), the Company will take charge of identifying and preparing the second internship unit, along with managing the corresponding procedures.

The signing program took place successfully, marking a sustainable and close cooperation relationship between the College of Science and Technology and Japan Printing Company.
